We take surplus food from local chefs, restaurants, and businesses and turn it into meals for community food programs and meal providers. We also deliver care packages and prayer to food service workers. Everything we do is rooted in scripture and driven by love.
Who we are
Behind You & Beside You is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between food abundance and scarcity in our community. Through creative resourcefulness and strategic partnerships with local food businesses, we transform potential food waste into nourishing meals for those in need.
Our three-fold mission encompasses:
Stewarding Resources: We work diligently to redirect surplus food from restaurants and businesses, converting potential waste into life-giving meals for our hungry neighbors.
Building Relationships: We serve as a trusted liaison between food donors and recipients, providing valuable support services to our partners while streamlining the logistics of food redistribution.
Sharing Hope: We witness God's love through our actions, fostering meaningful connections with both our business partners and the individuals we serve, creating a community of care and support.
